Eliot, one of Massachusetts's largest non-profit social service organizations, is currently searching for an experienced and talented individual for the Assistant Director of Human Resources of our Administration building in Lexington, MA.

We are looking for a seasoned and collaborate HR professional that excels with engaging with employees in a respectful way, fostering an environment of collaboration and diversity, and has strong communication and overall interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all employee relations matters to include counseling, accommodations and dispute resolution.
  • Assist in the management of employee administration to include the assignment, delegation and supervision of assigned human resources staff in the areas of payroll, benefit administration, leaves of absence, compliance, workers compensation claims management, unemployment claims management, open enrollments, and personnel records (HRIS) management.
  • Assist in the administration of all matters relative to labor relations to include contract negotiations, collective bargaining, contract oversight, grievances, hearings and arbitrations.
  • Assist Sr. Human Resources Managers in providing state of the art benefits and payroll administration services.
  • Work collaboratively with HR team and IT dept. in the development and automation of all Human Resources related workflows.
  • Assist in monitoring and advising managers in progressive disciplinary situations.
  • Responsible for maintaining all agency job descriptions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and delivering management training relative to Human Resources related topics.
  • Protect the corporate mission through overall management of the Agency’s services, programs and activities using corporate policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and a minimum of three years senior leadership and human resources management experience in a large complex multi-service organization preferred or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of human resources/supervisory experience.
  • Strong compensation, benefit administration and employee relations skills.
  • Experience in labor relations, performance management, payroll administration, policy and procedure development and diversity and cultural competence. confidentially and deal with sensitive information in a professional manner. Comfort performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

Location: Lexington, MA

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm

Salary Range: $90,000- $110,000, based on experience

Education

Preferred
  • MA or better in Human Resources
