General Summary
The GameAbove College of Technology, School of Technology and Professional Services Management (STPSM) invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in the Business Management Marketing Technology Program. The appointment will start in the Winter 2025 semester.
The successful applicant will teach an online asynchronous section of Advanced Spreadsheet Application—BMMT 213 and, depending on availability, other possible courses.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
Perform related departmental duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum required qualifications include a Master of Science or Arts with a concentration in Business or a related area. In addition, the applicant should have current professional experience in Microsoft Office 365 software, specifically in spreadsheet applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of business practices and uses of statistical data analysis using the tools and concepts presented in Excel software. The ability to manipulate data for analysis, presentation, and collaboration.
Microsoft Office application credentials.
The ability to design a supportive and interactive learning environment, encouraging student participation, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving. Provide constructive feedback on student work to enhance understanding and application of concepts.
The department/school may approve exceptions or equivalencies that demonstrate a relative background in academic research and/or professional accomplishments on a case-by-case basis.
