As aHuman Resources Generalist, you'll be a key player in supporting the growth and success of our HR department, assisting with a variety of essential HR functions. From attracting and recruiting top talent to explaining benefits, compensation, and recognition programs, to ensuring policies enable our "best place to work" philosophy, your efforts will play a key role in creating a workplace where employees can thrive and succeed.

Responsibilities

  • HR Partnership:
    Work under the guidance of the Sr HR Business Partner to provide HR expertise on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness, aligning initiatives with business goals and fostering a positive workplace culture.

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
    Partner with hiring managers to attract and recruit qualified candidates for open positions. You'll play a crucial role in screening resumes, facilitating interviews, and guiding candidates through the hiring process, all while collaborating with departments to ensure we find the right fit for our teams.

  • Compensation & Benefits Administration:
    Support the administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs designed to attract and retain top talent. Address employee inquiries about benefits and assist in ensuring our programs align with company objectives.

  • Talent Management:
    Support talent management processes alongside Strategic Business Partners. You'll assist managers in creating plans for employee growth and development, helping to drive engagement across the organization.

  • Employee Relations & Support:
    Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, addressing questions, and resolving issues as they arise. Support organizational restructuring as needed, conduct investigations to ensure fair and consistent practices as required, manage employee disciplinary steps, and terminations as necessary.

  • Policy & Compliance Execution:
    Understand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and best practices to help ensure our HR policies are always compliant, and employees adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • HR Program Administration:
    Assist in the administration of various HR programs, including rewards and recognition initiatives, employee engagement activities, and employee training and development programs.

  • Continuous Learning & Innovation:
    Stay current on the latest trends in HR, talent management, and employment law. Bring fresh ideas to the table and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR processes and practices.

  • Additional Duties as Assigned:
    Contribute to other HR-related tasks and special projects as needed, supporting the overall success of the department and the organization.

You will work with all levels of leadership and HR, diagnose business and organizational needs, lead "brainstorming" discussions and assess talent gaps and opportunities, identify and propose talent solutions to meet those gaps and partner to implement solutions that drive business results. You'll:

  • Serve as a strategic HR business partner to leaders to facilitate discussions related to talent management and succession planning.

  • Provide thought leadership in organizational development, change management, business transformation and restructuring, using demonstrated expertise.

  • Provide proactive and strategic guidance, support organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda to key business strategies and initiatives.

  • Facilitate talent assessments such as 9 box talent reviews, succession planning, development planning and individual development plans.

  • HR Generalist responsibilities such as employee relations, investigations and ensure compliance within each business unit.

  • Act as site HR Lead for Employee Engagement activities in San Diego.

  • Talent Insights: Acting as the HR analytics lead. Provides metrics and insights to develop and support Talent Management practices. Work across HR centers of excellence and senior leaders to develop an integrated approach to analytics and metrics focused on the right outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in a related discipline such as Human Resources or Organizational Development

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience as a HR Generalist or Business Partner

  • Talent Insights experience, using a variety of data analytical frameworks to influence decisions

  • Strategic HRBP experience is a MUST

  • Prior experience developing and implementing organizational development and engagement strategies in a complex, dynamic organization.\

  • Strong consultative, diagnostic, organizational, problem solving, analytic and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, associated deliverables and influence adoption of new ideas.

  • Must be a business-focused, strategic thinker with a bias for action and strong execution.

  • Working knowledge of talent programs, LMS, learning / development, performance management, succession planning.

  • Certifications in Korn Ferry suite of tools (Leadership Architect; 360 assessments, Talking Talent, etc.) preferred.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization to coach, mentor, influence, facilitate, present and inspire.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 3- 5 years of human resource management related experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage ambiguity.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • SHRM-CP a plus.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $97,000 to $128,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
